The Publications Unit produces a range of official publications on behalf of the University and provides the following services for the University community:
The Publications team combines editorial and design skills with web expertise to publish in both print and electronic formats. It keeps abreast of new developments and technologies in the publishing industry to facilitate the interface of hard copy and electronic processes and is involved with the wider University community to plan and develop publishing options for the future. The Publications Unit maintains information databases including the University's online Directory and acts on behalf of the University in disseminating guidelines and electronic files of the University logo for approved use by external providers or partners of collaborative projects. It provides references such as lists of deans, heads and other positions and style guidelines for use in official University publications. As a central section, the Publications Unit is also responsible for disseminating information in response to requests from external publications such as the Commonwealth Universities Yearbook and the World of Learning. |
